About Us

In February 2001, eight conservation and environmental groups in Arizona joined together to form the Environmental Fund for Arizona (EFAZ) to offer employees an environmental option in their workplace campaigns. Since that time, we’ve  grown into a vibrant alliance of 29 member organizations across Arizona who are working on the critical issues that affect our state.

EFAZ is currently included in 17 workplace campaigns across Arizona, and since 2001, has raised nearly $700,000 in donations for our environmental and conservation members.Click here to read our 2009 Annual Report.

Collectively, our member organizations are making a significant impact in Arizona by…

  • Studying and rehabilitating native wildlife and protecting their habitats
  • Preserving our precious landscapes
  • Helping communities plan more sustainably
  • Advocating for renewable energy, clean transportation, and water reclamation
  • Strengthening awareness and increasing recycling efforts
  • Promoting knowledge, appreciation, and conservation of Arizona’s native plants
  • Expanding environmental education into every classroom
